Fences, terraces, roads, houses, huts, mills, dams, bridges (such as the medieval Cape da Vila), an important part of the natural and cultural heritage of Viana do Bolo were flooded by the flood waters in 1960, after the construction of the reservoir of O Vao, on the Bibei river.
In times of drought a part of this legacy emerges and can be contemplated, allowing to evoke the landscape and life before the construction of the dam.
